The Coffs Harbour & District Eisteddfod Society, with the help of volunteers and committee, are well on their way to the 51 st Eisteddfod in Coffs Harbour. The Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod provides opportunities for local students to perform, be acknowledged for their commitment to the performing arts, and receive feedback from esteemed industry professionals. The eisteddfod is a cherished, community-run event for young performing artists and their families, attracting over 2400 annual entries.

The Coffs Harbour Eisteddfod is now accepting entries for competitors in Dance, Vocal, Speech & Drama, School Choirs and Instrumental disciplines. With nearly 3000 performances over approximately 28 days of competition, it’s gearing up to be another successful series of performances and events. Accomplished, highly trained adjudicators have been sourced from all over Australia for each discipline to award and provide feedback to each competitor. The first category of performers to compete in 2023 are Primary and Secondary School Choirs on the 31st May at Lifehouse Church, followed by the Instrumental performers at Coffs Harbour Education Campus for Schools sections on June 2nd then Instrumental continues at Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium from 3rd to 4th June, and Vocal competitors at Jetty Memorial Theatre from 5th to 8th June. The Dance component begins with Dance Groups at Coffs Harbour Education Campus over the June long weekend, leading into the individual Dance sections at Jetty Memorial Theatre on 14th to 23rd June. Our final discipline of Speech and Drama will also take place at Jetty Memorial Theatre from 25 to 27th June.

The Coffs Harbour & District Eisteddfod Society is proud to introduce the inaugural Section of National Dance. Like all performing arts organizations, The Coffs Harbour & District Dance Eisteddford has a responsibility to ensure that live performance opportunities are accessible and safe for people of all cultural backgrounds. We hope to provide a non-competitive, no-entry-fee platform for dancers to showcase cultural dances, with monetary prizes awarded for further artistic development.
